Abstract

This review aims to re-read the text Architettura e comfort. Il linguaggio architettonico degli impianti (Architecture and comfort. The architectural language of the systems) by Enzo Frateili and Andrea Cocito (1991) in the light of the changes that have taken place since its publication to date, regarding the theme of system integration in architecture. In particular, the review aims to clarify the design and cultural context within which the text was drafted, relating it to the extensive critical-scientific production produced by Enzo Frateili. The first paragraphs of the review briefly describe the point of view and developments of the author's theoretical approach with respect to the theme of architecture and systems. In the following paragraphs, the essay comments in detail the original text, explaining its contents and methods of narration. In the conclusion, the qualities and farsightedness of Enzo Frateili's gaze, still relevant, are identified.
