Franco Raggi

Architect and designer (Milan, 1945). Graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1969, in the same year he began his collaboration with the Nizzoli Associati studio. Coordinating Secretary of the Visual Arts-Architecture section of the Venice Biennale (1975-77), head of the Design Collection at the Milan Triennale (1979-80), he was editor of the magazine Casabella (1971-76), editor-in-chief of the design magazine Modo (1977-80) which he directed until 1983, also teaching at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Pescara and, since 2001, at the ISIA Design in Florence. He has designed architecture, commercial spaces and showrooms, exhibitions and objects for various international design companies, including Cappellini, FontanaArte, Poltronova, Italtel Telematica, Kartell, Candle, Danese and Artemide. In the architectural field, the interior design of the Humanitas Hospital in Milan (1996) and those of the Gianfranco Ferré Foundation (1998) and the Techint headquarters (2000) should be noted among his most important works.
