Quel “New Italian Domestic Landscape”
De Pas D’Urbino Lomazzi e la tappa fondamentale di una generazione
Abstract
The aim of the study is to highlight the antecedent reflections, convergences and consequences on the productivity of the De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi group that revolve around their participation in Italy. The New Domestic Landscape exhibition, starting with their presence with a conspicuous number of objects. Vittorio Gregotti’s historical essay for the catalogue overlooks them, bringing out the desire for a strongly directed historiographical construction, but also the peculiarities of their position in the Italian design scene. Their private papers and the archive at the Milan City Council’s CASVA make it possible to note the concomitance of the New York exhibition with the Milano 70/70 exhibition, revealing unexpected relationships between the two events and the group’s intention to continue investigating the ‘Italian case’.
