Plissè and Silk for Capucci

Keywords: Design, Italian Fashion, Plissé, Silk

Abstract

The history of Roberto Capucci is connected from the very beginning to silk. The silk is a natural material, symbol of preciousness and elegance that can be enhanced through technical knowledge, transforming it into many variations and giving it depth and texture.
Thanks to the use of the ancient technique of pleated, the silk, with its smooth and impalpable matter, has assumed thickness and consistency. So this material has assumed the characteristics of sculptural smoothness and precision of metal.
Thanks to the creativity and genius of this great Roman and international fashion Maestro, a space-time bridge between past and present that runs through the history of fashion to this day has come to life.
